… or more accurately: Urban Sleding.

One of the many urban sports, as I have been told. Our version wasn’t really “urban” as the others, I have also been told.

What I have experienced of this “Urban Sleding” involved some snow-board-sized corrugated plastic poster board, crazy carpet, steep hills in random parks around town, some liquour in the system and warm clothing. All summed up to hilarious good fun.

I went on this adventure with several of my friends last night. Needless to say I ended up with some bruises (and a boot to my pelvis – thankful I am not a man at this point). However, the fun acquired was well worth it.

Along the way we drew happy faces in the snow, made snow angels, gotten “yelled” at by some strange woman who wasn’t sleeping at 4:30 in the morning (wtf was she doing??), fell into a (VERY) shallow pond up at QE and chucked large chunks of ice around (and some flew dangerously close to my head). Overall it was just a full night of shinanigans. I think we made it home at about 5 in the morning.

Jolly good fun.
